early illo....fresh....

wooohoooo! i actually finished an illo that i love and........its early!! how bout them apples?!!? well anyways, here it is. nothing actually to do with the topic persay, but i was sticking with trying some new ideas with my art. when i heard the topic i thought of new art thats trendy and fresh, so of course i had to use really vibrant, upbeat colors. i had this all set up in my head and it actually came out looking alot better than i had imagined. i must say its pleasing to my eye and yet another good one to add to the portfolio. i hope you all really like it. oh.....and dont get your hopes up, just because this one was early doesnt mean ill always be on time. but hey, heres hoping. enjoy!

I love it too! This will be one of my new favs of yours. I like the colors and how each square isnt perfect, I have a hard time putting those kinds of pieces together. At first glance I actually thought this was a digital piece. This would be great if you added a fiew pieces of tissue paper over some of the squares, give it a little bit more texture and depth and add that chacha "i use all kinds of materials in my work" feel.

Great job chacha!

This is lovely, and yes...it's fresh. The colors are so true and bright, and the composition is very upbeat. I actually have sheets that look like this (oh, I hope you're not insulted by the comparison; I don't mean it badly at all :>), and everytime I put them on the bed, I feel all happy because they're so pretty.

I so enjoy seeing your images close up! Fresh at its freshest Chacha! This reminds me of a dress my Mum bought in the 60s and reminds me of her wearing the dress whilst blowing bubbles into the air during washing up. The radio was on and she sang "You are my Sunshine" between blowing bubbles. There were bubbles on her nose. It is my fondest memory from when small :) I lOVE this painting!

This piece is really great. Cheryl- if you saw this piece in person you would see the depth of the colors. I told cha-cha that it looked just like she painted on a piece of material. The picture is good but the actual piece is great.
